Royal Enfield has filed trademark application for name ‘Shotgun’ in India

Famous bike brand Royal Enfield has filed trademark application ‘Shotgun’ for its new upcoming 650cc motorbikes which is expected to launch soon. The application has been filed on 20th April, 2021 under Class 12 before the Trademark Registry Office, Delhi with respect to ‘Motorcycles, Motorized scooters, electrically powered motorcycles’ among others. The current status of the application is ‘Marked for Exam’. The estimated price of the ‘Royal Enfield Shotgun’ could be Rs 3 lakh onwards. The company has previously trademarked several names like ‘Hunter’, ‘Roadster’ and ‘Sherpa’, but have not revealed for which products they will use these titles.
