RCB’s franchise changes logo amidst pandemic, asks fans to mask up and stay safe

One of the eminent teams of Indian Premier League (IPL), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has announced the change in their official logo via twitter. This comes with respect to the current pandemic situation in India, when the RCB franchise decided to make a significant change in their official logo where the lion in the logo is been shown sporting a mask. RCB also took this opportunity to teach their fans the importance of wearing a mask and said “No Matter Who You Are, Mask Up When You Leave Your Home!’’ Further, they said that the new logo will be their display picture across various social media platforms until the end of IPL 2021.

RCB had earlier declared that they would be sporting a new ‘blue jersey’ with key messaging on their match kits to pay respect and solidarity to the front-line workers fighting the pandemic. They further added that these signed player jerseys from this game would be auctioned to raise money for supporting health care infrastructure. The official announcement for the jersey will be done soon. Due to players being tested positive for Covid-19, RCB’s match against KKR has been postponed.
