Gucchi mushrooms are prized by those who are familiar with this mushroom variety for its outstanding antioxidant and antibacterial capabilities. Mushrooms are also noted for having a high nutritional value because to their high protein, carbohydrate, and Vitamin B content. The Geographical Indication tag, according to Choudhary, would prohibit improper use of a registered geographical indication by others and offer legal protection to Doda-based Gucchi Mushroom, also boosting its export and motivate farmers.
