Nokia launched its legal battle against Lenovo in the year 2019 over alleged infringement of 20 video compression technology patents in various countries like United States, Brazil, India, Germany. The companies on 07th April, 2021 declared that they have finally resolved all pending litigations across all jurisdictions. The terms of the cross-license agreement between the companies remain confidential, but Lenovo will make a net balancing payment to Nokia. Earlier, it was ruled by a Munich Court that Lenovo infringed one of Nokia’s patent and had ordered an injunction regarding the same.
